Meet Our Founders

Sherry Zhang Ph.D

Sherry earned her Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from Marquette University. She is a well-published researcher and expert on obesity and metabolic health genetics. Sherry served as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin and led large scale studies on finding genetic and epigenetic variations underlying individual predispositions to metabolic syndrome.

Paul Auer Ph.D

Paul Auer, Associate Professor of Biostatistics at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee's Joseph J. Zilber School of Public Health, is a statistical geneticist whose lab is a computer. He's a math geek whose career path led to deciphering big data gleaned from sequencing the protein-coding regions of the genome, called the exome, to find genetic variants.

Matt Edwards RD, CSP, CD

Matt is a registered dietitian working as a clinical dietitian with a special interest in nutrition research and nutrigenetics. He has an ambition to promote health and well-being through the power of nutrition. Currently he is researching nutrition impact in the following areas: handgrip strength, artificial sweeteners, gluten restriction, and micronutrient deficiencies.
